Dr. Karlescia Brookins
Principal
Dr. Karlescia Brookins is a strategic consultant and nonprofit leader committed to turning vision into sustainable impact. As the founder of Springboard Consulting, she partners with mission-driven organizations to navigate change, foster leadership, and strengthen capacity through solutions rooted in purpose and progress. Dr. Brookins specializes in helping organizations improve their operations through strategic planning, while also providing coaching to empower leaders and teams to work effectively and authentically. Additionally, she assists clients in diversifying funding sources and optimizing resources through grant readiness and proposal improvement. With a track record of success across the Mid-South and beyond, Dr. Brookins has guided nonprofits through board development, communications strategy, thought partnership, and more, bringing clarity and confidence to every engagement. Prior to founding Springboard, she served as Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives & Programs at Grameen America, leading national efforts to elevate Black women entrepreneurs through inclusive programming and branch expansion. Dr. Brookins holds an Ed.D. and is recognized for her values-driven approach, which combines equity, transparency, and professionalism to foster authentic relationships and achieve measurable results. A proud wife, dog mom, and lifelong Volunteer for Life (VFL), she brings both heart and strategy to her work, empowering organizations to rise with purpose.
